Why Valletta Is A Must Visit On A Weekend

With Valletta being the European Capital of Culture for 2018 the restaurants, bars and city streets are buzzing day and night with activity throughout the year, no matter whether it’s summer or winter.  The city is alive with music, thought provoking performing arts, exhibitions, installations and much more.

Only a few decades ago Valletta was known for being a ghost town at night following on from the closure of its infamous bars, bordellos and music venues in the 1960s.  Valletta’s lively night time spirit was all but finished, but over recent years, restaurants, trendy bars and nightlife hotspots have opened their doors once more and there is a fantastic selection of new restaurants popping up all over the city.

As the street of Malta’s capital city comes alive again after years of hibernation with music and laughter, Valletta will continue its transformation in to the Capital of Nightlife.
