7 Reasons You Should Visit Risette Whilst On Holiday In Malta

Risette nestled under the watchful eye of the Lady of Mount Carmel Church is a fine dining experience with a modern twist. Set within the stunning boutique hotel Casa Ellul, Risette is in the heart of old Valletta but is most definitely looking to the future.

  1. A truly sophisticated menu

Each item on the menu at Risette has evolved from a process within the kitchens led by Head Chef Andrew Borg to ensure that everyone that steps through the door is spoilt for choice. Andrew, previously Chef Patron of the Black Pig Restaurant, has worked in some of the best kitchens across Europe which has perfected his knowledge of fine cuisine. The menu is a fusion of cultures and methods, it looks to the past and to the future and it brings to the table dishes that express Andrew’s passion for the essence of good food. To bring forward the taste and flavour within the ingredients through the mastery of techniques new and old. To push boundaries and to create dishes that do justice to the fine produce that he chooses, to include on the menu such as a veal sweetbread with pink grapefruit, smoked eel and broad beans, John Dory with Jerusalem artichokes, romanesco and mussels, sauce vin jaune and Guinea fowl with charred onion, chicory and pear to name but a few.

  1. The most sumptuous setting

Set within Casa Ellul, a beautifully opulent baroque inspired old Maltese palazzo. The house has been within the Ellul family for generations and holds within it a sense of history. The house is still very much within the family so when you are welcomed to Casa Ellul and Risette you are warmly welcomed into a family treasure. From the beautiful artwork to the lighting that fits the mood perfectly, the elegantly modern surroundings of Risette strike a relaxed note with a sophisticated air.
